05/06: *Culture vélo Lorient : partnership agreement*
Culture Vélo Lorient , represented by Christophe ROYE, joined the club undertaken of the world cup. It will be present on the village and the races for repairs and adjustments of your bicycles.
02/06: *Prolongation of the preferential rate*
Taking into account the number of and request telephone calls for inscriptions of last minute for the open triathlon, the preferential rate of 35 € is prolonged 15 days, that is to say until June 15.
20/05: *Open Short Distance Triathlon competition: preferential rate until May 30*
Until May 30, the tariff of the inscription for the open is 35 €. After this date, it will be raised of 10 €. Do not delay!

Since today, you can directly register you on line for the triathlons of Sunday 28 September.

On Tuesday, the 12th of March, the Lorient Triathlon organizing committee and the local daily newspaper Le Télégramme again signed a partnership agreement related to the World Cup which will be staged in September. A climate of mutual confidence has been existing since the 2007 World Championship. The expertise of the Télégramme and its Media coverage are bringing to the Breton Triathlon an increasing awareness.
12/03/2008: *Day - 200*
In 200 day’s time exactly, the Triathlon world Cup will take place in Lorient. The organizing team is working hard to make this sporting event a success.
During the week-end , of the 27th and 28th of September, the Ter lake venue will play host to a trade village and will offer activities such as interviews, athlete autograph sessions,...Triathletes, you are more than welcome to the Pays de Lorient
04/03/2008: *Presentation of the world cup competition to our volunteers *
On Friday, the 29th of February, the organizing committee introduced the courses of the World Cup to the volunteers. Eric LE LOSTEC said thank you to the associations which attended the party and to the individuals. Many people who took part in the World Championship last year are willing again to participate in the 2008 aventure. The brand new film promoting the World Cup series carried out by the ITU was shown. Drinks were offered afterwards in a convivial atmosphere.

The 28th January : *OPEN : a range of registration fees to be chosen*
The rate of the registration fee for the competition to be held on Sunday the 28th of September has been adjusted to match the demand.
The 50 € registration fee includes the following full package : the registration fee for the competition + a welcome present + 1 Saturday night Pasta Party ticket + the participation in the Sunday evening closing ceremony while medals will be handed out (buffet). In order not to disadvantage the triathletes who cannot take part in the Pasta Party on Saturday night, the registration fee is 35€ and the 15 € extra ticket for the Pasta Party is optional.

One free entry out of 10 paid entries from the same Club before the 30th of May. Don’t hesitate to regroup. !
The 17th January 2008 : *The technical official for the Beijing Olympic Games wille be in Lorient on the 29th January *
On the 29th of January 2008, the organizing committee will welcome the International Federation (ITU) official technical Delegate, Mr Gergely MARKUS, along with some members of the French National Federation (FFTRI). Based in Hungary, He will come specially to Lorient to finalize the last technical elements regarding the competition. His expertise in the organization of international events will be precious for the Lorient team : he has been working for 2 years on the Beijing Olympic Games.

The 10th January 2008 : *Lorient : The first serie after the Olympic Games*
Following a change in the ITU calendar, Lorient will be the first serie of the World Cup after the Beijing Olympic Games. The series planned in London ( on the 14th of September) and in Eilat (in Israël on the 12th of October) will not take place. Another serie is planned in Mexico.
The city of Lorient is already preparing the arrival of the olympic medal awarded competitors on the Breton soil.

The DCNS company again places its trust with us for the 2008 World Cup. The execution of the partnership agreement took place this morning between Georges THIERY, Director of the Lorient based DCNS company and Eric LE LOSTEC, Chairman of the organizing committee.
